UEFA "B" PART ONE BELFAST UNITED KINGDOM (with club visits)
The UEFA ‘B’ Licence is divided into two parts. All candidates who successfully participate on Part 1 will receive an Irish FA ‘C’ Certificate at the end, but only these candidates who satisfy the course assessment criteria, outlined below, will be allowed to progress onto Part 2 of the UEFA ‘B’ Licence.
Course entrance requirements
Anyone over 18 years of age with experience of working with young players or school children.
Depart September 23rd and arrive back in your home city October 13th.
Course outline
Practical Assessment
3 assessments during the week. The minimum standard to reach in assessments in order to progress to the UEFA ‘B’ Licence Part 2 is 2 Passes, one of which must be the final assessment on a 4v4 session.
If the candidate fails to meet the required practical standard in the 4v4 assessment, he/she will be permitted to have a maximum of two further re-assessments on a 4v4 topic. Candidates will be charged for re-assessment.
Candidates are also required to submit 25 hours of session plans along with other online coursework tasks from the Irish FA’s Coach Education Platform.
All candidates who successfully complete the Course will receive an Irish FA ‘C’ Certificate. Candidates have a maximum of 2 years to successfully complete all practical work and a maximum of 1 year to complete all coursework from the date they commence the course.
The focus of this course is preparing players and teams up to U16 level.
The Irish FA's online coach education platform (in partnership with ASC)
This enables candidates on the Irish FA’s UEFA courses to complete coursework tasks in electronic format, as well as session plans that enable candidates to illustrate their coaching sessions with professional, digital diagrams.
As well as undertaking the UEFA "B" Part One course, you will also spend time at 3 clubs.

Glentoran FC (Belfast)
Historically one of the most successful clubs in Northern Ireland.
NI clubs and semi professional and information regarding Glentoran will be extremely beneficial for most coaches coming from similar environments.
Glentoran FC currently have 44 academy players, playing for NI's national teams across all age groups.
Dinamo Zagreb (Croatia)
Europe's #2 ranked youth academy.
Having produced the second most professional players, playing in the top divisions across Europe, Dinamo shows how to produce top level youth players in a city of a 1 million.
Millwall FC (England)
Millwall has a rich history in producing Australian players. Australian World Cup Captain Lucus Neill got his start at The Den as well as Australian World Cup hero Tim Cahill, both playing more than 350 games for the club.
Along with having knowledge of Australian players, Millwall has a cult following and is a massive club playing outside of the Premier League.
Millwall currently have James Meredith and Tim Cahill on their books and continuously look at Australian players for their academy.
